About Us

U.P. Lakeside Secluded Cabins are owned and operated by David & Nancy Young, along with Tom & Becky TerBeek, their daughter and son-in-law. David has appreciated spending time in the UP since before the Mackinac Bridge was built! He and Nancy were able to acquire their first parcel of property here in the 1970s, and build a cabin for their own personal enjoyment in 1987, where five generations of their family have had the pleasure of making so many wonderful memories. Tom & Becky had the incredible opportunity to retire in 2020 and make this their permanent home, which was such a blessing! Their children and grandchildren encouraged them to purchase and update both the Cabin and the Lodge, with the goal of making them available for others to be able to have their own memorable experiences here in this magnificent environment! Tom and Becky live in the family cabin nearby and will assist their guests in any way possible to make this a remarkable vacation!
